No, we do not charge fines for overdue books. We want the books, DVDs, and other items returned by their due date. But it is better to return the items late than never. Please return your loan items to the book drop that is on the left side of Lamson Library's main entrance, or to the book drop at the Information Desk.

When you return the items you have checked out by their due date, you allow other library patrons to have a chance to borrow them. For materials not returned by the due date, you will receive two overdue notices within a 30 day grace period.

We would like to avoid having to replace stolen items. However, it must be done, and so the following steps are part of our item replacement process.

If you are a student, and you do not return items after 30 days of the due date, we can place a hold on your student account. You will not be able to register for courses, graduate, or get transcripts.

If you are a public patron, and you do not return items after 30 days of the due date, we will place a hold on your library account. You will not be able to borrow items from Lamson Library. We have the option of giving library item replacement bills to an agency for collection.

We do not want you to pay a fine. We just want our books, DVDs, and other items back, so that we can make them available for loan to other patrons.
