The format of citations that appear in different periodical databases, reference books, or other print publications are usually NOT in the standard APA or MLA form in which they are listed in the bibliography, or List of Works Cited. BUT, even though their appearance varies, notice that each citation gives you the same information.

Finding the sources that appear in bibliographies is one of the most important skills a scholar can have.  Watch this video to get an idea of what information to look for and how to tell the difference between citations to books, journals, websites, or other sources.
